This week I received an email from one of our recent graduates who has a "new" job in Menagha....she offered to share her course web page with all of you....she indicated that her "principal" was impressed with her web presence skills!!! Last week members of the Ed. 4800 class met to share experiences from teaching and to ask questions. Highlights of being a teacher included " being called Ms. or Mr.", getting hugs, seeing "the light bulb go on when student's understand"......... All seemed to be off to a great start though most expressed commented on "how much there is to learn" and "how much work it is to be a teacher!!!"
There were problems with the webex connections.......I will try to get these problems fixed so that those of you that cannot drive in can link with us. Apologies to those who could not connect.
Our next meeting will be at 6 p.m. , Thursday Oct. 7. We will have a guest speaker that evening, Mrs. Marcia Roline from Red Lake High School. Mrs. Roline will share her experience in teaching, comment on the AYP challenges that have impacted her teaching environment and respond to questions. Mrs. Roline has three children - one elementary, one high school, one graduated last year and an international student "son" from the Ukraine for this academic year. She has a dynamic professional and personal life......I am sure you will enjoy meeting her!!!
